Hayley completed her Matric and high
school career at St Dominic’s Convent and her primary schooling at St Andrew’s
in Bedfordview. Hayley was an active member of her Youth Group, being a youth
leader.
Hayley studied travel and tourism
through Rennies Travel Training Institute (TTI), graduating with exemptions and
excelling in customer care. She also completed her Galileo course and did her
practical training at Rennies Sandton.
She started her working career as a
wholesale Tour Operator and worked her way up from a Trainee to a Senior Travel
Consultant. She was sent to London for educational work experience as well as to
New York and New Zealand where she represented South African Tour
Operators. She also attended several management courses
and was awarded with a ‘Personality of the Year’ certificate.
Hayley joined VCA in 2001 and is now the
Operations Director. She is a highly
experienced Skills Development Facilitator with working experience covering 20
of the 23 SETAs. She is also a member of the Association of Skills Development
Facilitators of South Africa (ASDFSA) and is in possession of a National
Certificate in Skills Development Facilitation.
Hayley is one of the two female Directors
of VCA and is passionate about training, development and upliftment of all
South Africans but firmly believes in starting with her staff, the company and
all people she comes into contact with.
She is responsible for all CSI and community outreach projects which VCA
embarks on.
Hayley completed a National Certificate in
Human Resource Management, through Maccauvlei, in 2006. Hayley is a qualified
AET facilitator for AET Levels 1-4 in Numeracy and Literacy, and is a member of
the South African Board of Personnel Practitioners, and has the professional
registration of HR Associate, Specialist and Learning and Development. She is
also a registered and qualified Assessor and Moderator.
In 2012 she completed her HRM Diploma
through BMT College and is continuing her studies in the field of Business
Management.
Hayley is a member of the FASSET Skills
Committee and represents Small Businesses in this constituency.
Hayley has completed short courses in
Marketing Management and People Management through UCT School of Business.
She was chosen as a participant in the
Goldman-Sachs 10000 Women initiative, which is a Certificate in
Entrepreneurship, and graduated from the program in June 2014. She was also
chosen to address her group of 54 graduates at their closing ceremony.
Hayley, as well as VCA was featured on eTVs
Its My Biz Season 4. She met and is currently being mentored by the three
thought leaders from her show – Jenna Clifford, Amy Kleinhans-Curd and Donna
McCallum
She attended the National Achievers
Congress in 2013.
Hayley’s big passion in life is to give
back, and she is involved as a volunteer HR Partner for Partnerships for
Possibility, for the Rebontsheng Primary School, in Vosloorus.
Hayley is also a qualified mentor, and is
currently mentoring for learners, entrepreneurs and business owners for GIBS,
in their ED department. She has also been chosen as a mentor for the Cherie
Blair foundation and has participated as a mentor on the Mentoring Walk by the
Passionate Professional and Vital Voices. Hayley is additionally a Mentor for
Shanduka Black Umbrella.
Due to her passion to make a difference,
Hayley is also a Board Member of the Benoni Child Welfare Association.
Hayley intends furthering her studies in
the field of Law.
